The chicken fried steak with onion rings were delicious . My Aunts got the burgers and tenders. They said it was delicious as well. You definitely will love the fish basket and shrimp . The sweet tea is on point. So, bring your ass over come try it out for yourself.
This is a cozy mom and pop shop that serves some pretty delicious seafood. I had the 3 piece jumbo shrimp with onion rings. The staff accommodated my family for grandma's birthday. Mike was on top of it, making sure the drinks stayed full and keeping everyone happy.
First timer here and omg the food is delicious! Best CFS I've had in San Antonio! Can't wait to try their breakfast. CFS is bigger than the picture. I had already eaten some!
Update: March 28, 2025. At the new location. The food is still amazing and flavorful. I like they have two fish breading options; original (cornmeal) and flour batter. Original review: It's Halloween... my husband and I decided to celebrate our 1 year anniversary here with my folks. We haven't been here for awhile but the food is still delicious. I loved all the halloween decorations and dress ups! The fish had amazing flavor with the cornmeal batter. The jumbo shrimp had a garlic butter taste to them, which made them super juicy and exquisite. Of course the cheese sticks and onion rings are always amazing. Our waitress was adorable and friendly. So glad we celebrated our day here.
Excellent experience all around. Our server was attentive and educated well on the menu. She checked in with us and brought everything we needed. Didn’t have to ask for anything at all. Ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. They are full mushrooms made in house. Everything was homemade and fantastic! We had the chicken fried chicken and a fish platter. Portions are huge. I opted for the onion rings, which were wonderful. Salad was large. Soup was good. Would definitely come back again! The place was completely full at lunch time. Lots of seating in the main room as well as an overflow room in the back. Parking is around the back.
Went in for lunch during work and boy you better bring your appetite! All portions will feed you and it's all good. Had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. 11.50 to max full up and you can sit down, order, eat, and get back to work in an hour! Tons of options from classic comfort, to Mexican, to breakfast before 12. Worth a trip and you will be happy

Went with my family, husband and 2 kiddos. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Service was friendly, and it just felt homey. We ordered a seafood plate, chicken sandwich, kids burger and fries and chicken fried steak. For 60 we fed the family and went home with leftovers. Portion sizes were great.
